Valentine’s Day Cards

I am super excited about these Valentine’s Day cards!!  Especially since my Christmas cards were a little frumpy and I got to spend the weekend with my Mom who made some too.   When making cards I usually end up using stamps but this year I decided to be a cheater and use some vintage prints that I printed out on.  We used lace, tulle, and of course, the ever so popular, BURLAP!  

The prints where MP’ed on a piece of cardboard to give some depth.  Then the lace, tulle, or burlap was glued onto the back of the cardboard with the whole thing being glued to the paper card.  I usually do not spend this much time on each card but my creative juices were really going on and I got off to an early start with Valentine’s Day projects.

Mom’s Cards … I love my Mom’s style; she just starts gluing away and it ends up looking good.

Guest Post @ Craftaholics Anonymous: Soup Cans Turned Valentines

Valentine Bingo

I have been seeing the bingo card in the scrappin’ world for quite sometime now and I FINALLY got around to making one.  I am not sure what it is about scrappin’ on the bingo card, but I really like it.  This is my first one and I am pretty sure that I totally rocked it … just sayin’.  I made this little beauty for the lady who runs our weekly bingo game at work.

Valentine Favors

First off, I am getting rid of the cursive font; it is too hard to read.  Hope this is a little better for all my bloggin’ peeps.  I am super excited because my Mom came up for the weekend to whip up Valentine’s Day cards with me.  Oh just wait till I post them, we totally rocked some vintage prints!  I wanted to show off these little favors that I made this past week.  Got them at Joann’s a few years back on the clearance.  They look like test tubes but were sold as organizational storage.  I filled ‘em up with V-Day M&M’s, covered with paper, heart brads and added a stamped tag with ribbon.  They are so stinkin’ cute!

Valentines Day Pocket

I am busy working away on some valentines.  I am so excited because I totally feel like I am on top of it … Unlike how I felt about Christmas and New Years.  Here is a valentine that I made two years ago before I started bloggin.  Wish I would have taken pictures of all of them.  

This is a piece of paper folded with glued edges to create a pocket.  Layered it up with some paper and embellishments.  I wrapped all of the candy with coordinating scrapbooking paper and ribbon for a matchy-matchy look.

Snazzy Camera Snuggie

If you’re going to have a snazzy camera, you need to have a snazzy camera strap, right?!  Being the crazy crafter that I am … I had to make a new even better one for the holidays.  I whipped this up right before Thanksgiving.  The the animal print with the red screams “fabulous”! {People ask if it is King’s muzzle?! WTH?!} Did you notice the silk flower?! I was so surprised with myself; it only took a few minutes to whip the ribbon around and around.  Even made a flower for a $1 headband.

Thank You Cards

Here are the thank you cards that I whipped up for everyone who gave King and I a Christmas gift.  I really wanted to start on some Valentine stuff but I these came first.

I love these vintage prints that I found.  I am almost set on 

using this same type of style for my Valentines Day Cards.

I know you can’t tell in the pictures, but the 3 cards in 

the right picture are mini.  They are only about 2” x 2”.  

I like to make mini cards to hand deliver; 

these are for the girls at the office.

Crafting With The Stars Entry?!
