Got a Silhoutte for my birthday! Whoop! I already had a Cricut, but I wanted to upgrade. My Mom is the best!! I am a little bummed because I have been so busy that I haven’t had a chance to really use it.
When I was in Oklahoma to see Mrs. S, she wanted me to help her with a pallet art idea. Her husband brought home a pallet from work, we ripped the wood apart, and Mr. S nailed it back together for us. We used the Silhoutte to cut out words from cardstock to use as stencils. We specifically bought “stencil” paint because we didn’t want any bleeding. The stencil paint is amazing!! I am so in love with this!! Such as good idea from Mrs. S!!
Looks great! I love pallet art and hope to make one someday. It's on my ever growing "to do" list! The sentiment you used is great daily reminder!

I LOVE pallet art. This looks fantastic! I can't wait to try my hand at one.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I have to know - what brand was this stencil paint?? I just made a similar sign, but used contact paper and regular paint and still got some bleeding....and if you just used cardstock (and taped it down, I'm assuming?) with the stencil paint...well that sounds like much less of a headache! If you could fill me in on your secret brand, it would be much appreciated :)
