I am little behind when it came to the book wreath rage . . . . it seems everyone was making them when I first started bloggin' and I never got a chance to make one, until now. I absolutely think the idea of the book wreath is awesome; however, I don't even know why I made it! Wishful thinking?! It totally doesn't even go with my decor!! It is practically white and I do not have anything in my house that is white, nor do I like that light colored cottage-y, vintage-y look that is popular (Gasp! I know I really did say that!! It's a great look, just not for my house.) So, the book wreath ended up in the laundry area/ garage that no one sees. I guess it's okay for now . . . thinking about spray painting it for a different holiday or season . . . . . .
I am happy with the way it turned out and I didn't follow one particular tutorial . . . but it's just not for me.
I really like them too! That cottegey style just doesn't fit my house either. But I do like the style - maybe our next house!
ReplyDeletePS - Love the new blog look!
Hey! You changed your header! Nice! I LOVE this wreath! Cute! I bet it took you awhile :)
ReplyDeleteSometimes you just have to make stuff that goes outside your zone. That's me and *gasp* pink! SO not a pink gal. But every once in a while I make something pink, usually for my niece, and while I usually like it, it's not "me". Your wreath did turn out lovely!
ReplyDeleteOh, I really like it!! Give it as a gift to someone...I'm SURE you could find it a good home! I think it's great looking!
ReplyDeletethat turned out great! I like how "fluffy" it is (:
ReplyDeleteI love the monogram in the middle. I just spent the past 2 hours making a book page wreath today. They take forever! But I like how they turn out.
ReplyDeleteThat turned out soooo pretty and is too lovely to not be seen. Give it as a gift to someone with the last night that starts with a "B". I know they would love it Ÿ
ReplyDeletecute, u did a great job
ReplyDeleteI think you did a great job! I haven't made one yet either. And guess what?...I haven't painted a chalkboard yet either! Yikes! Talk about behind the times!
ReplyDeleteIt turned out lovely, but I'm with you- it's not on my project list either. I'm too afraid someone in my crew would mistake it for napkins.
ReplyDeleteYour wreath is cute! I hope you find a home for it. I'm with you - I adore the look but it's not my particular style. Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteI must be really behind because I've never seen or heard of this. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI have admired many of these wreaths...they are pretty and funny enough I do not have one in my house either. I did use book pages to make my birthday chandelier though.
ReplyDeleteLink up!
