Fabulous Fondue

My birthday was on Wednesday, the 10th.  Yay, Happy Birthday to Me!   Seems like birthdays get more depressing the older you get!  Yeah, 28 isn’t too exciting.; I am kind of having a hard time with it. It seems like I “just” graduated from high school and college.   Any who, my boss gave me a $25 visa gift card and I knew EXACTLY what I wanted to go buy with it.  A FONDUE POT!  I know crazy, right?!  It’s the little things in life.  And yes, King got me a gift too.  A new watch, it’s what I wanted.  He’s such a great catch.

I am so impressed with this little melting machine!  It was on sale at Joann’s for only $18; well worth the money.  I decided too dip up a few more Valentine treats. (Get it? “Dip” Fondue- I know I am corny!)  I went with strawberries and peanut butter & Ritz crackers on a stick.  I am pretty impressed with myself.  I wish I could own a craft shop/bakery shop/BBQ restaurant/dance hall all in one- there would be something for everyone!  One day, I am hoping to own one of the above … one day.

The peanut butter & Ritz crackers sticks are so easy and look fabulous.  I sandwiched the peanut butter between two crackers, placed the stick in the middle, then placed in the freezer before dipping into chocolate.  The freezer helps the peanut butter/crackers stay on the stick.

Happy belated birthday ! I remember getting a little weirded out around that age ( 30 hit me hard) but the good news is that once you get even older, it's totally liberating. And cute treats!

Happy Belated Birthday! I turned 28 in September and I had a hard time with it too. I feel like I just haven't accomplished enough if that makes sense.

Your valentine treats look so yummy!

ooohh.. that looks good.. & like soo much fun!!

the pb & ritz & chocolate are like a poor man's reese's! we love them!

28 was easy. 30 was hard. 31 was like nothing ever happened. it still seems weird to check off that 30 something box on info stuff.. but your first commenter had it.. it does get easier.. it's weird. there is something to that older & wiser bit ;)

happy belated birthday ;)

Happy Birthday! Age is only a number. My 'number' has been stuck on 29 for many years now. ;) Enjoy your fondue pot - your treats look fabulous!

Happy Birthday! (I know I'm late but I hate calling it a "belated" birthday wish. It just doesn't sound pleasant. ;)) The ritz and peanut butter treats look delicious!

I never even thought about using a fondue pot for dipping treats! I had a fondue pot but sold it at a yard sale a few years ago. But it had to have fire in a can, this seems to be electric, yes?? So cool!
