Three Topiaries

Last year I made {THESE} topiaries to sit in my kitchen windowsill.  Oh how I still love them! I really like them because they look good for all seasons.  I have yet to find something that will replace them.   I keep thinking that I need to add a bow or something . . . What do you think?

Styrofoam balls from the clearance aisle, floral foam and moss is from DT, spray painted $.69 pots and free sticks from the yard.  Cheap & fabulous home decor.  I am totally diggin’ this DT moss; I need to find some other uses for it.

Eyeglass Case

I am officially getting “old”  . . . I had to get glasses.  Actually, I am not old, the computer ruined my eyes.  I whipped up this eyeglass case out of some fabric remnants.  This would make a great summertime gift for your friends to put their sunglasses in.  Hmm .  .  . Might need to whip up a few more of these.

We all know I stink at tutorials.  {HERE} is one from Sew Many Ways.  Her tutorial is exactly how I made this one.

Bible Tote Bag

I have a bag for EVERYTHING! I am just weird like that and it helps me to keep everything organized so I don’t forget anything.  I recently made a new mini tote bag to carry to church on Sunday.   I am stocked on pens, highlighters, sticky tabs, gum, notepad and of course, my Bible.  Grab it and go on Sunday morning!

Need a tutorial? {HERE} at Skip To My Lou.  It is exactly how I make all of my totes.  I adjust the size according to what I am going to put in it.  It leaves out interfacing; you should definitely add some if you want your bag to be a little more stiff.  I also buy premade nylon webbing at the fabric store; they offer a little more stiffness to the handle.

Fabulous Rubber Boots

Spring is in full swing and so are the spring fashion accessories.  Have you seen the super cute rubber boots? And have you seen their PRICE TAGS- outrageous! Most them are a little more than what my budget wants to spend on a pair.  Apparently, my Mom thinks the same thing too because she has a regular old black pair that she wears out in the country.  She can blow through a pair of rubber boots in a year or the dogs grab them off the porch for their chewing pleasure.  Mom is genius (we all knew that) and used my easy flower technique {HERE} to add a little fabulousness to her boots.  How do you think they look? I am thinking that they look pretty snazzy!  Maybe some spray paint? I wonder how that would hold up . .  .

Red Velvet Cookies

Have you seen the amazing blog called {WHIPPERBERRY}?  They have some of the best recipes.  I tried their {RED VELVET COOKIES} – IMPRESSIVE!  I am totally lovin’ how they are made from a cake mix.  These cookies were a big hit at my bible study last week.  I will definitely be baking them again.

Peepin’ Crazy!

I know everyone in blog land has seen the super cute Peep printable from {Eighteen 25}.  I made 30 of them for the real estate agents in my office building.  I thought it would have taken me a long time to do that many, but really, it did not take long at all.

Super Busy!

Ack! I feel like my plate is full!  It's a busy home buying season which affects my job, the yard needs mowed all the time, and my Etsy shop with custom orders, is keeping me occupied from my blog.  However, I am NOT complaining- just wanted to let you know where I was.   Here's what I've been workin' on.

Dirty Laundry Bag

I seem to travel a lot .  . . And I always have this phobia of my clean clothes touching my dirty clothes while in the suitcase.  I also have this phobia of the hostess or someone seeing my dirty underwear; I know, I am crazy!  I took about a yard and a half of fabric to make a drawstring “DIRTY” bag for traveling.  Like duh?! Why didn’t I think of this earlier?!

I posted my {ORIGINAL} Justin Bieber pillow on my personal FB page and then I got an order for TWO more! Yay! Guess the “Bieber Fever” really is running rampant through adolescent girls. LOL

Vinyl Cups

My two BFF’s from college came into town a few weeks ago for a girls weekend.  They came into town due to my drama a while back and I really wanted to give them a token of appreciation.  When I spotted some colored insulated cups at WalMart for only $5! I knew exactly what I wanted to do with them.  They were perfect for both of the BFF’s because they are both trying to drink more water.

I jazzed up the cups with vinyl and rhinestones.  Of course, they are hand wash only.  You can check out some other water bottles that I jazzed up last year {HERE}.

store and jazzed it up!

Actually, I made this cup first; for one of my coworkers.
I like playing around with small pieces of vinyl using my
Cricut.  Not sure if I would ever try to do anything really large.

Paper Mache Dress Forms

I am super dee duper stoked about how this project turned out.  My Mom came to visit over the weekend so we could whip up this project that we have been talking about forever.  I won’t flap my jaws too much- I will just show you.

Aren’t they fabulous!  I have always been in love with the dress form look.
Surprisingly, these were super easy to do and since they aren’t huge, you can
use a lot of scraps.  We made a total mess of my craft room- using sewing
supplies, paper crafting supplies, and everything else.  Anything goes!
Yes, I just had to use an English Bull Terrier on the red one.

These two are Mom’s.  Even though they are a totally
different style than mine, I still love them!  Check out that bird
nest!! Ack! I just can’t get over how fabulous they turned out!

Yellow Egg Topiary

Ack! I feel like I have been missing from my blog . . . Well, I guess that I have.   The new {ETSY SHOP} is keeping me a little busy and I haven’t really felt very motivated here lately.  Not sure what my deal is; can’t seem to get into the groove.  However, I do have a few things in the works to share.

Remember the Robin’s Blue Egg Topiary that I made {HERE} and remember, that my Mom made one too.  Well, my Mom got an order for THREE! The customer wanted yellow eggs with red speckles.  WHOA! The customer totally hit the nail on the head with this one.  It turned out AMAZING!  I don’t know which one I like better.  The yellow or the blue.  What do you think?  (It is missing some moss . . .  DT was out . .  .  Mom was leaving and I needed to get a picture.)
