My Ribbon Has Thrown Up!

I was so proud of myself when I made {THIS} ribbon rack.  I thought it was going to solve all of my ribbon needs.  Apparently, I have a ribbon problem.   Hmm who knew?!

All is good until that MIDDLE spool runs out …

I decided a few baskets would help with the overflow … now they are overflowing.

This whole space just isn’t happening for me.  The boxes work well but I think I could have a more fashionable  & convenient storage area.  On a mission to do a redo on this area in my craft room …. stay tuned.

Silk Flowers, Pom Pom Flowers & Baby Sign

Mrs. M’s little girl, Carly,  is almost here! I have been whipping up some last minute items for her.  Mrs. M really wanted a sign for the hospital room and I delivered. . . . hee hee.  I used a piece of foam board for the base of this sign.  I spray glued fabric on the foam board & used my Cricut to cut out the letters.  It didn’t turned out exactly how I envisioned, but I am satisfied, considering Mrs. M can put this in Carly’s room when she is done with it at the hospital.

Flower headbands are a must if you have a little girl.  I went on a flower making rampage!  You will be seeing some of them in a few upcoming projects.  I used this silk flower tutorial over at Stitched Boutique and used Little Miss Momma’s Pom Pom tutorial for the others.  I added a clip to the back of each of flower so they can be mixed and matched with the headbands.

Valentine’s Day Paper Arrangement

Is it really the end of January already?!  Wow, this new year is flying by!  Before you know it, we will all be working on Christmas decorations, crafts, and gifts.  This is the last Valentines Day post for me.  Of course, I have VDay supplies purchased, but I think time is almost out.  Remember the {Halloween Paper Bouquet}?  Well, my Mom wanted to make something similar for Valentine’s Day.  With the Cricut, we cut out different sizes and shapes of flowers using different patterned paper, and then layered up the flowers with a brad in the center.  Mom’s are hot glued onto shish kabob skewers and mine are hot glued onto sticks. (For some reason, I had been dying to use these sticks cut from King’s Dad’s backyard.)  Two different looks with the same flower.  I think both of them turned out pretty nicely and very festive!  I took my arrangement to the office since I made {THIS} one for the house.  Might even recycle the flowers into my craft room for a decoration  ... they match.

VDay Glitter Arrangement

I know this arrangement doesn’t look that snazzy in the pictures, but I promise, it is.  I made this for our living room.  I didn’t really want anything with to many frills {King isn’t a frilly guy.} but I still wanted it to feel happy with love.  I am a tall and skinny, really spastic flower arrangement kind of girl.  The entire decoration was used from Christmas arrangements, except for the 3 VDay picks that I picked up at HL for $3!

Ballard Inspired Wire Tote

Here is my project that I made for the first round in Crafting With The Stars over at Sew Dang Cute Crafts.  I am a little bummed because I came in dead last.  Very sad face for me ... I usually do not come in last.  But I am happy that I was chosen to participate.

This project was actually super easy! I think it took me only about an hour from start to finish.  I had all of the supplies on hand but if you were to buy all of them, it probably wouldn’t cost too much.

Coupon Organizer

When I saw the coupon organizer over at Red Heads Craft More Fun, I knew I had to cross this off of my to do list.  I didn’t need a tutorial {HERE} but I did need Courtney’s inspiration to make one of these.  I commented on the one she made, and then grabbed some scrap fabric to whip one up.  Thank goodness I finally got this done … there are HL and Joann’s coupons always in the bottom of my purse.  If you are a beginner sewer, this is the project for you.  You can use this same idea for money, make-up, or other small items.  I am going to introduce this idea to Mrs. Rooster’s daughter because she received a sewing machine from Santa.

Welding Hats

Today is King’s birthday! Happy Birthday to King!  However, he is working out of town so I will have to get him his “real” birthday gift at a later date … but I had to send him a card and a little something.  I would expect him to do the same for me.

Here is the card.  I really adore these sweet looking puppies!

King is a welder … but this isn’t him.

WELDER

You see that fabric hat under the welding hood?  That is a “welding hat” LOL  Well, I took one of the store bought hats apart and recreated my own.  They are usually made out of funky fabrics …. however, when you buy them in the store, funky usually mean cheesy.  I can’t have King going to work looking like a nerd.  Here are the one’s I whipped up.

He is going to be very irritated with me!  This Valentine fabric
is on the inside of one of the hats.I can’t help it, I love being festive!

Contestant-Button

Okay, so now that onto my latest project that I whipped up for Valentines Day.  I really wanted to make a banner for Valentine’s Day and decided on a “mini” banner …remember those topiaries that I made way back when? They were the perfect place to hang a mini banner for the season of love.  Cute, simple, and fabulous- my kind of project.

Lolli Pop Valentine Card

Whew! I sure have been knockin' the Valentine's Day crafts out!!  I have been trying to be on top of my game this year, especially since I felt like I totally missed the boat when Christmas came along.  I WILL be posting about Christmas in July this year!  I need a tiny break to catch my breath and clean my messy craft room before I start on anything else.  My craft room can be seen {HERE} ... I feel the need to show it off; 75% of my life happens in here and the other 25% is at work.

This is my Valentine card that I made last year.  It is very “cutesy” compared to my card this year; “cutesy” is generally more my style when it comes to card making.  It’s actually not a card, it is an over sized tag that is 4” x 11.  I used my Cricut to cut the circle and the scalloped circle .  I free handed the swirl.  Paper punched the scallops at the bottom and used a little glitter paint for some added dimension.  Of course, you gotta have ribbon and embellishments! I just love the saying “You’re the LOLLI in my POP!”

Be sure to link up your Valentine’s paper projects {HERE} over a Paper Issues!

XOXO Sign

I was totally inspired by the wooden XOXO’s in CraftOMatic’s header.  I knew I had to make something using XOXO for Valentine’s Day and I also needed something VDay to take to the office.  Off to HL!
I MP’d wooden letters & chipboard cut outs with paper and glued to a piece of foam board that was also covered with scrapbooking paper.  Also, added a little ribbon and the super big rhinestones where added for Mrs. Rooster because she likes all things shiny!  I am pleased as punch with the outcome.

Be sure to link up your paper projects {HERE} over at the Paper Issues blog!
