Blue and Green Baby Boy Monkey Set

I really enjoy sewing baby crib sets and all the accessories.  Everyone always has different ideas, color combinations, and themes.  I like seeing how the bedding that I make will look in each room.  This room is very fabulous! This is one of my favorite baby rooms that I have had the opportunity to work with.  The soon to be Mom had picked out just the right fabrics; fabrics that coordinated well but they aren't super "matchy-matchy"  See the monkeys? Ummm yeah, the mother painted those FREE HANDED!

Texas Sized Chalk Board

I am so in love with the chalk board at my Mom's house.  Her front porch is just the right size and the right layout to be able to have something like this, it's quite large.  She took an old picture with an ornate frame, and added chalkboard paint right on top of the glass! Never even took the picture out! It looks absolutely  fabulous!

Fruit of the Sprit Sign

Making custom signs and art work is a great way to customize your home.  I am still in love with the sign that I have made {HERE}.  The quote symbolizes where I was during that time in my life.  I just don't know if I will ever be able to get rid of it; mainly because it means so much to me and because it is one of my all time favorite items that I have made.  Below are two more that I made for some friends.

One of my all time favorite scriptures! Wish I could have kept this for myself!

And this one ... Definitely needs to be hung in my boyfriend's parents' house.
The loudest family that I have ever met! They're the best!

Halloween Banners :: Houndstooth and Book Pages

Paper crafting is my first love when it comes to crafting; however, I think I am better seamstress than scrapbooker/paper crafter.  Making new Halloween banners is on my to do list for this year.  I made one for my boyfriend's sister and a simple one for him.  One more for me and I can cross it off my to do list!

Don't you just love the houndstooth?! One of my favorite all time prints.  The houndstooth on this banner isn't paper it is fabric.  The printed papers and everything else is from my favorite store, Hobby Lobby.

Isn't this a cool picture! Thanks to the Texas heat and humidity,
my camera fogged up during this shot.  How fitting for the picture!

I decided to make the boyfriend a simple banner for his house.
Of course, he told me it was too girly to hang in his house; I hung it anyway.
I was trying to fit his taste by using book pages since he is quite nerdy and likes to read a lot.

Halloween Upcycled Ceiling Tile

I purchased a several ceiling tiles a few years ago and FINALLY had a chance to do something with them .... Well, only one of them.   I knew I wanted to use them for Halloween and Christmas, and I decided to use the {PAPER WREATH} idea to mix in with the ceiling tile for a cute Halloween decoration.  Need paper wreath instructions?  You can find some {HERE}.

Halloween Ruffled Dish Towels

I was on a ruffled dish towel making spree after cranking up my serger that I received for Christmas.  Yes, it sat in the box for months!  OMG!! A serger is fabulous!  Definitely worth the money; you should splurge and get one if you sew a lot.  I prefer Janome; I have a Janome serger and sewing machine.

Why the LSU towels when I am a Fightin' Texaas Aggie?  Well, the boyfriend
graduated from LSU and his entire family is from Lousianna.
I had to earn some brownie points and make some for his Mom.

Cat In The Hat, Thing 1 &; Thing 2

I was never one to dress up for Halloween, even as a child.  Halloween really was not a big deal around our house; yeah we carved pumpkins as kids but Halloween never really impacted any of my great memories surrounding my childhood.  However, last year I couldn't resist dressing up with my coworkers as Cat in the Hat,  Thing 1 and Thing 2.  The Cat in the Hat costume was purchased and of course, we put the Thing 1 and Thing 2 costumes together ourselves.  It was quite simple and it really didn't cost too much money.  The wigs are purchased, the tights are purchased and we splurged on the red Vans.  I made the skirts and the shirts with the help of a Texas Made 4 You, {HERE}.

We had a super good time at work and at the fall festival where we all attend the same church too.  Everyone got a kick out of an "adult" Thing 1 & Thing 2.  I don't know if we will dress up again this year because Thing 2 is in our second location ... I just don't think it would be the same if my other half is missing.

Baby Girl Crib Bedding Sets

I have become a sewing maniac!  Sewing crib bedding has become a regular occurrence for me and I love it! As always, I enjoy working with different color combinations!  I don't know what I am going to do when I have a child, I don't know if I am going to be able to choose!  So many choices!!

Made this set for my BFF that I've had since middle school.

I especially love this next set .... Not too girly, but just enough. Super cute room too!  I didn't make the letters, but I sure do like how they they match.
