Girly Camo Bedspread

I feel so lucky that I get to work with so many different types and kinds of fabrics and patterns.  I totally love this camo, pink and green bedding order that I sewed up for a teens room before Christmas.  Since I am almost 30, I would never make this for myself, but it is such a pleasure to work on patterns and prints that I like.  I haven’t been able to get pictures of the room, but the Mom sure did love it when she picked it up.  Very fitting for a girly girl who still loves the outdoors.

Valentine’s Day Cards

Paper crafting is my first love; although, it appears I am a better seamstress than paper crafter.  Usually I get together with my Mom and we make our cards together.  I always like to see what she comes up with because our styles are so different.  However, it never fails, we always end up buying some of the same exact supplies and don't even know it until we see each other.  She will see the look on my face and we will just laugh.

I purchased the pendant punch from {PAPER ISSUES}; LOVE LOVE LOVE this punch!  I feel the need to punch out a million pendants; string them into banners and place them all over my house!  Everything else that I used in the cards came from Hobby Lobby and Dollar Tree; a whole bag of glitter hearts for $1!! I couldn’t pass it up! I come up with a few designs and then mass produce; I think I made about 20-25 cards.  (So bummed, forgot to take pictures of my Mom’s cards.)

Valentine’s Day Banner

I was really getting stoked for Valentine’s Day this year; I think it was due to the fact that I had a reason to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year … Or so I thought.  So that boyfriend, I have recently mentioned a few times- he’s no longer my boyfriend.  Kinda bummed & sad about it;  I really liked the guy (and had some awesome crafty Valentine’s Day gifts that I wanted to make for him).  Oh well, live, learn, grow and move on.  I’m just one step closer to what God has in store for me next.

Any who, I saw this idea from {SIMPLE AS THAT} and knew I could whip up quite a few of these for some friends and family.  Basically a $1 project (for 6 or 7 banners!); I only had to purchase the book from the dollar store and I used up scrap Valentine paper for the hearts.

52 Reasons :: Valentine Deck of Cards

Last year I gave this little gem to my boyfriend.  I saw the 52 reason deck of cards a few years ago and it came back to mind when I saw the one over at Peppermint Creative {HERE}  I knew this would be the perfect Valentine’s Day gift.  I think it turned out super cute!  Definitely an ego booster for any man!

Here are a few of the reasons.  Some are funny, some are serious
and quite a few of them are inside jokes between the two of us.

Red Sox Subway Art

As you might have noticed from the past few blog posts …. I made quite a few Christmas gifts that had to do with vinyl.  I made this RedSox subway art for my boyfriend; he is a crazy fan and I am pretty sure I earned gift friend of the year with this gift!  I would like to pat myself on the back because I researched all of the words on this subway art and I discovered that Glidden paint has official paint colors for most collegiate and professional sports.  (I know nothing about RedSox baseball; I was proud of myself for all of the words being accurately associated with RedSox.)

{This was so hard to photograph.  Something about the red and blue. Please ignore the fact that there is a “W” missing on World … I messed it up! LOL  Going to replace it.}

JESUS Subway Art

After I made the {TEXAS A&M SUBWAY ART}, my Mom decided she wanted one with all the different names of GOD … Such a great idea, right?! I never got a picture of the one that I made for her, but here are two that I made for Christmas.  They turned out fabulous!  I love this

God Bless & Gig Em Signs

As you might already know, I am a Fightin’ Texas Aggie, class of 2006,  and so are most of my friends.  I have a few friends that prefer the “other” school down I35 south; but I won’t hold it against them.  I usually make all of my BFF’s the same Christmas gift.  I try to find something that is easy to mail, fairly inexpensive and something they will all like with a little personalization.  This year I decided on making “God Bless and Gig Em” signs for the Aggies and “God Bless and Hook Em” for the others.

I purchased regular pine boards, cut them down to size, painted and added a coat of whip on polyurethane.  After the poly dried for a full 24 hours, I adhered the vinyl.

Princess Party Bag Favors

My friend and I whipped up these little bags for her daughter’s birthday party (back in September and I am just now posting!)   We cut out the crowns with the Cricut, added a stamp and a few rhinestones.  I ran the pink crepe paper streamer through my ruffler foot on my sewing machine.  Simple, quick, cute and CHEAP!
