Scrapping 2010 #2

While scrapping my 2010 photos I realized that I hadn’t scrapped my 2009 intro page.  My bully, Curtis and I.  I {heart} this dog!

Scrapping 2010

I am very obsessive compulsive . .. hmm who knew!  And with that being said, it totally bothers me that it is already February and I am not done with my 2010 scrapbook.  I scrap my life in chronological order on 12x12 layouts and I am usually done with the previous year by Jan 31.  This year, it didn’t happen.  Thanks to the “snow” days down in here in Texas, I was able to get caught up and I am still working.

For the next week or so, I will be showing my 12x12 pages from 2010.  Here is goes.

The “F” in {WTF} doesn’t mean “FLIP” !! Do you see what is happening in this picture?!
That is King’s truck in the lake to load up the boat!! Like what the hay!! Why didn’t he use
the boat ramp?! I nearly had a heart attack when I turned my head.  Thank goodness,
King is car savvy kinda of guy and didn’t ruin anything.   Men .  . .  they sure do like to

Mustache Mugs

I am on a mustache marathon!  I decided to go ahead and jazz up some mugs that I got at DT over the holidays.  You can open up the travel mug and drop in your own paper.  {{These mugs are kind of cheaply made, and the plastic looks “foggy”.  However, you can get better ones at HL.  They are $10 so you might have to use a coupon.}} I came up with "Join The Club" I find them pretty darn funny.

Fabulous Fondue

My birthday was on Wednesday, the 10th.  Yay, Happy Birthday to Me!   Seems like birthdays get more depressing the older you get!  Yeah, 28 isn’t too exciting.; I am kind of having a hard time with it. It seems like I “just” graduated from high school and college.   Any who, my boss gave me a $25 visa gift card and I knew EXACTLY what I wanted to go buy with it.  A FONDUE POT!  I know crazy, right?!  It’s the little things in life.  And yes, King got me a gift too.  A new watch, it’s what I wanted.  He’s such a great catch.

I am so impressed with this little melting machine!  It was on sale at Joann’s for only $18; well worth the money.  I decided too dip up a few more Valentine treats. (Get it? “Dip” Fondue- I know I am corny!)  I went with strawberries and peanut butter & Ritz crackers on a stick.  I am pretty impressed with myself.  I wish I could own a craft shop/bakery shop/BBQ restaurant/dance hall all in one- there would be something for everyone!  One day, I am hoping to own one of the above … one day.

The peanut butter & Ritz crackers sticks are so easy and look fabulous.  I sandwiched the peanut butter between two crackers, placed the stick in the middle, then placed in the freezer before dipping into chocolate.  The freezer helps the peanut butter/crackers stay on the stick.

Bumble Bee Birthday Party

Mrs. Rooster is the best friend ever!  She always lets me help with her daughters’ parties.  This year a bumble bee theme was chosen for her youngest.  We had so much fun creating all of the black and yellow decorations.  Mrs. Rooster even made a bumble bee outfit.  We were the talk of the town at Peter Piper Pizza!

You can see how we made the cake {HERE}.

See the ruffled crepe paper?  I ran that right
through the ruffler root on my sewing machine!

Mrs. Rooster made the entire outfit! {I “BEE” 3} was ironed onto a black shirt.  Aren’t the antennas totally cute?! They moved every time she took a step.  I know you can’t tell in the picture, but spray glitter was added to the tulle, to make it all shiny and sparkly!

Notice how the banner isn’t hung on a wall . . .  Concrete was mixed into soup cans and while the concrete was still wet, I placed nice sized dowel rods into the wet concrete.  The soup cans were wrapped in black paper.

Mustache and Lips on a Stick

The whole mustache thing totally cracks me up!  I told my Mom about the mustaches and the lips on a stick.  She decided it would be great to use these for her Sunday school class.  I Googled to find a set of lips and a few mustaches. I used my Cricut and Sure Cuts Alot program.  This program is AMAZING!  I was able to adjust  the lips and staches  for different sizes and thicknesses.  I can’t wait to see the pictures of the kids.
