Diva Rubber Gloves

I am back!!  Woo hoo!  Thanks to everyone who gave me some much needed words of encouragement from my "Slacker" post.  It really meant a lot and I am grateful to have such caring followers.  It's nice to know that there are people out there who care, even if I've never met you face to face.

This project is inspired by my BFF from college, Mrs. S.  She was always wearing rubber gloves to clean & I thought she was wack!  This was a super quick and easy project.  Cheap too! The rubber gloves came from DT and came in several colors. I ran the fabric through my ruffler foot and then sewed the fabric onto the rubber glove.  I had assumed that the rubber wouldn’t be able to feed through my machine, but actually, it worked out great!  When I ran it through my machine, the rubber was on the bottom and the fabric on top.

Time for my friends to get a jump start on their spring cleaning!
Made a cute tag . . . I wanted some snazzier wording but I couldn’t come up with anything.

Glad you are feeling better. And these gloves ROCK. I recently won some "Diva" gloves in a giveaway and they do make the work less tedious!

Very cute! I made some that were similar and I love them! I don't do anything in the house without one of my 6 pairs of cute gloves!

Love them. I think my favorite is the teal. I'm definitely going to make some for my friends and use that tag, thank you!

These are Super Cute. I did something similar for the female family members at christmas. I added a small hand cream and a dollar store ring for bling.

Those are really cute! I saw some premade ones at the store and yikes! I'm sorry, but looking cute when washing my dishes wasn't worth the price tag on those!

I've never thought about making my own because I assumed you couldn't sew with rubber either. I'll have to try that sometime. Thanks for letting us know it worked.

I just love these! I have a yellow pair. Now to peruse my fabric stash and see if I have anything to go with them or maybe lace?!
thanks for sharing. Linda

Now that I know they will go through a home machine I shall have to have a go at making some. Yours are really cool.

These are so fun! It'd almost make me want to clean, almost. I love how simple they are, too. Who knew you could feed rubber through a sewing machine? Thanks for sharing.

I'm hosting a Throwback Thursdays Party, and would love it if you swung by and linked up something you made/bought/did from before blogging. I can't wait to see what you bring.

Adorable! I think I'm not gonna want to use them, just gonna want to sit and look at them! so I might end up washing less dishes:) But they look worth slacking off for!

That’s cute! You know I’m actually thinking that you and your friends were going to form some kind of a girl group. ;D With those, you could face spring cleaning head on. Or hands on? He-he. I’m sure, though that the tasks would be less tiring if you constantly smile at the sight of your hand gear.
