It's only Monday and I am very tired. We have been so busy at work and there isn't any sign that it is going to slow down. I am exhausted. However, never to exhausted for a little DIY! Well, maybe sometimes! Depending on the project! My supervisor's wife asked me to make an outfit for their daughter for a particular party. Her only requirement is that it had to be zebra print. I {heart} zebra print! Of course, I was on it like white on rice. I had the perfect idea for this sewing project. The t-shirt dress!! I added some fabric to the bottom of a t shirt and adhered the ribbon with some iron on tape and then sewed on the eges of the ribbon. Same with the ribbon on the sleeves. The iron on tape helps the ribbon not to move while you are sewing. I cut out some stars with fusible backing, ironed onto shirt and then zig zagged around the edges. I got the shirt half price at HL for $2, ribbon for $2, and fabric for $3. For only $7 I created a super cute dress that only took about 30-45 mins to put together. She totally loved it. (The skirt isn't crooked, it is the picture. LOL)
